If you've been following me on Twitter/Instagram, you'd probably know this. Last month I saw an artist who had to close his DeviantArt account because almost all of his artworks were stolen for NFT. I immediately subscribed to the core membership because I still want to share my art here and I genuinely feel like I have some of the best audience on this platform, which I have been building since 2011. On January 19th, I opened DeviantArt and saw this notification. Hey, at least DeviantArt's system works! I have proof here lol. My fear became a reality. But in a weird way, I laughed it off, sarcastically. Sharing your work on the net is always risky. Either you want the whole world to know what you can do with the risk of being stolen, or you don't share at all. As an artist sharing who's been doing this for years, I've always braced myself for when that time comes.
